Frequently Asked Questions

We will be celebrating virtually for 2020!  Although we cannot gather in person due to COVID 19, we can safely celebrate from home (and do so wearing our slippers).


Share the link to this page or the Still Serving Facebook page listed below with family, friends, co-workers, anyone you want to invite to virtually attend.  Let them know to join us at 9:00 am for the announcement of the 2020 honorees and winner:

Nominations will be accepted from family members, family, neighbors, any individual or group, civilian and actively serving personnel.

A judging panel will review all nominations and completed questionnaires that are submitted. The panel will score the information provided in these forms. Qualifiers include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Contributions to the community
• Notable volunteer work accomplishments
• Going above and beyond working with the military and/or civilian communities

The nominee must be retired military or a military veteran of one of the six service branches of the armed forces of the United States.

The questionnaire will be sent to all nominees after the nomination deadline of October 1st.
